What are ELISA kits?

ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kits are widely used laboratory tools for detecting and quantifying proteins, antibodies, hormones, and other biomolecules. The components of an ELISA kit include coated plates (e.g., sandwich ELISA, competitive ELISA), standards, controls, detection antibodies, substrate, wash buffers, and development buffers. Characterized by sensitivity, specificity, and quantitative, ELISA kits are used in various fields such as diagnostics, immunology, and pharmaceutical research.
